Adriana Lima

Adriana Francesca Lima was born Juny 12 1981 in Brazil – where she grew up.

Even though she never thought of being a model she won several beauty pageants in elementary school. Already at age 15 she won Ford’s “Supermodel of Brazil”. She later signed with Elite Model Management i New York.

Since 2000 Adriana has been working as a Victoria’s Secret Angel and opened the shows in 2003, 2007 and 2008.
Shes been a spokesmodel for Maybelline since 2003 and worked with other fashion brands like bebe, Mossimo, Armani, Bulgari, De Beers, FCUK, Intimissimi, Keds, Swatch, Versace, and BCBG. She’s appeared in Fashion Magazines such as ELLE, GQ, Arena, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Vogue, Marie Claire and many more.

Adriana have also done some acting. In 2008 she had a role in Ugly Betty (playing herself) and a guest apperance with her fellow Angels in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

Adriana is a devout Catholic – and attends church every Sunday. When she was younger she studied to become a nun.

In 2007 she ranked 7th in FHM “100 sexiest Women”, “Hottest Girl on Planet” at the Spike TV Guys’ Choice Awards, voted number 53 on the Maxim “Hot 100″.

In 2009 she was listed in Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest model on Forbes Celebrity 100 list.

Since 2006 she’s been ranked top 5 as highest paid supermodel.
